I have XP Pro on my development machine, and I can't get the permisssions to work. You right click on a file to open the properties then on the sharing tab, I selected share the folder on the network plus allow other users to change my files. Then back at the general tab, you click the checkbox to undo the read-only property, click done, and it doesn't work! I go back and on the general tab, the box is checked (with a grey check) for read only again. I can't figure how to change it because it changes itself.
The diagnostic tool simply confirmed that the files were not executable, which I already suspected.
I wanted to get this working on my machine and then upload it to a small business site on yahoo for which I am doing development work.
Can I anticipate further permission problems in Yahoo? This is a goofy project as I am working blind. I do not have access to the C-panel, and yahoo support is very thin. The things you go through to fulfill an internship! Thanks for your suggestions.
