Hi,

I have just installed yapb on my wordpress.

When i try to upload images i get this failure:
Error: File /home/hal23/rauff/public_html/~rauff/upload/kim.JPGdoes not exists!

This directory does not exist, because it is totally wrong. It should be something like:
/home/hal23/rauff/public_html/upload/kim.JPGdoes not exists!

instead, but how do i configure the upload path?
Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for /home/hal23/rauff/public_html/~rauff//upload/20060801200826_alpaca.jpg in /home/hal23/rauff/public_html/wp-content/plugins/yet-another-photoblog/lib/YapbMaintainance.class.php on line 82

I also see this info/stat.
Hi kimschurmann -

The upload directory setting is part of the wordpress "general options" if i remember correctly. Didn't test YAPB with the ~username-Scheme though.

Please let me know if a correct WordPress-Upload-Path works for you.

Hi kimschurmann -

Please give feedback to this thread if you solved the problem.
I'll move the thread to "pending answer".

I've got the same problem.

My upload-folder ist situated directly under the wordpress-root, that is:

/wordpress/photos/

instead of

/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/

The image is uploaded but after posting the new entry the message

"file [...] does not exist"

appears. But the photoblog-page is rendered correctly.
Hi,
I also can't upload files

maybe I'm a bit blind...
but I can't see the upload button ;(

I installed the latest yapb download
and I'm running a wordpress 2.1

here is a screenshot of what I see in the "write post" page.

and I'm wondering why it is different from your screenshots...

Hi iWonder -

In case you search the upload button:

(1) Write the title of your photoblog post
(2) Select the according image
(3) Choose if you want the exif date as the post date
(3) Write some text describing your photo
(4) Click "save" or "publish"

Hope that helped a little bit and

Thanks Johannes! Smile
it works perfectly...

I feel shame that I had to ask for help on this easy issue...

*maybe you could specify that "nothing happens" until you save/publish the post...

thanks again for your prompt help,
and congratulations for this great plugin!

greetings from hong kong
I had the same issue as iWonder, except not the same result. I add a title, choose an image, write a brief write-up, then click save. No photo is ever loaded. The write-up is saved, but the post itself doesn't even display. The page merely reads "This photo page is not yet ready." I click edit and see the write-up, but no associated photo.
